Proposed 20th Anniversary Centanni-Cottle Memorial 5K Run/Walk

Please join us on the roads of beautiful Yorba Linda, California, as we come together to honor the service and sacrifice of our hometown heroes, United States Marines, Lance Corporal Rick Centanni and Sergeant Major Robert “RJ” Cottle.
The Centanni-Cottle Memorial 5K winds 3.5 miles through Rick and Robert’s hometown of Yorba Linda, California. The route passes by all three schools Rick attended, starting at Fairmont Elementary, continuing south down Fairmont Boulevard past Bernardo Yorba Middle School, then west on Esperanza Road, and finally north on Kellog Drive, ending at Esperanza High School.
T-shirts, memorial wristbands, and other items will be provided to the first 800 participants. The entry fee is non-refundable.
Proceeds benefit the Rick Centanni Memorial Fund, Semper Fi Fund, Wounded Warrior Project, The American Legion, Fisher House and one additional military-based charity of the Executive Board’s choosing.
Countdown to Race Day
Registration & Pricing
- $40 for Adults | $45 after and on Race Day.
- $20 for Military and Students (with ID) | $25 after and on Race Day.
- Children 12 and under participate for free.
(Waiver required. T-shirts available for $10).
Event Schedule
Pre-Registration to be announced. Typical schedule:
- 7:00 AM — Bib Pick-Up & Race Day Registration
(Esperanza High School student parking lot; shuttle service to starting line at Fairmont Elementary).
- 9:00 AM — Centanni-Cottle Memorial 5K Begins.
